ART PROGRAM FOR BUSINESS GROUPS

Welcome! I'm Veronica Huacuja (wu-a-koo-ha), a professional plastic artist, and an experienced online art teacher. Besides being an artist, I founded and direct an educational consulting firm, multimediosintegrales.com, where I’ve developed this Painting, Drawing and Modeling Program with Mindfulness for Business Groups, via online.

Background

In today’s corporate world, companies recognize the prize for fostering a positive work environment that promotes the emotional well-being of their employees and enhances their soft skills. My Painting and Drawing, Modeling Program with Mindfulness for Business Groups aligns with this trend by providing a unique approach to improving employee’s emotional state and interpersonal skills. The program lines up with the latter human aspects regarding the company’s internal Social Responsibility programs and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under Agenda 2030

One goal of the program is to encourage participants to incorporate an artistic hobby into their daily lives, which can have various benefits, such as enhancing creativity, improving communication skills, increasing self-esteem, and reducing stress.

My teaching attends to the interests of the group, their level–beginners, intermediate, advanced–, personalities and learning rhythms.

The program includes initial exercises of Mindfulness (first 7 minutes), which use acupressure as a technique to improve the emotional state and create an optimal learning environment. I also encourage the daily practice of Mindfulness as it promotes mental health, self-regulation, self-knowledge, and increases self-esteem, among other benefits.

The program not only teaches the technical skills of painting and drawing or modeling in clay, but also immerses participants in the rich history of art through introducing them to the works and lives of renown painters, sculptors, photographers, and other artists, as well as the pictorial movements to where their work belong, such as realism, impressionism, surrealism, cubism... This aim searches to create an aesthetic experience and appreciation of beauty in the participants through our art exercises. Together, we embark on a stimulating artistic journey.

I also facilitate a dynamic and interactive learning experience by teaching the program online in real-time, as mentioned. Through the use of these digital media, I actively encourage proactive communication and engagement among the participants, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Educational components of the program for business groups

A. User Guide. As the program facilitator, I provide this comprehensive User Guide to the business leader in charge of the program. This document serves as a detailed resource that explains the educational method and the specific content covered in the program. It also includes an overview of the objectives and outcomes of the program, as well as step-by-step instructions for its implementation, through a Session Plan. I highly recommend that the business leader review this document thoroughly to gain a full understanding of the program and its potential benefits. B. Session Plans. To ensure that the participants are well-prepared and engaged in the program, I provide detailed Session Plans before each session. I share these plans with the participants in advance, as a pdf file, which serves as a guide that outlines the educational objectives, topics, and dynamics of the upcoming session. The Session Plans provide participants with a clear understanding of what to expect, and to allow them to prepare any necessary materials or questions in advance.

THE PROGRAM'S COURSES

I structure the program around 2 comprehensive courses. Each course offers a diverse range of techniques, materials, and educational topics. The group makes the choice of the course, techniques, materials, and topics in collaboration with me, the facilitator, ensuring that the program meets the group's expectations and goals.

COURSES' CHARACTERISTICS

The course's length

1.5 months or 6 (consecutive) weeks.

Periodicity of the sessions

Once a week: 6 sessions.

Session's duration

1:30 hour (90 minutes).

Total number of hours for each course: 9 hrs.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

- I use either platforms: Zoom or Teams.

- I employ 3 webcams: One focusing on the work area, the other on me as the facilitator. Sometimes, I even use a third webcam where I pose and illuminate diverse sculptures I make up for teaching the human head and body.

- The Internet speed with which I work is 100 MB (upload and download data).

- iMac desktop.

- I use a No-Break team to avoid any electrical interruption, in case it occurs.
